In July of 1982, my wife and I spent 10 days ...HD:<br /><br />In July of 1982, my wife and I spent 10 days in Alaska, traveling from Anchorage to Fairbanks on the railroad and later driving from Anchorage to Homer, where Jewel grew up. On the trip to Fairbanks, the train stopped several times so we could see the moose, bears, etc.<br /><br />We were in Anchorage on July 4th where we discovered that a fireworks display is not quite as spectacular in the daylight.
